Jitara is a mill and bakery in Vratsa. We started in 1993 with milling, and today we bake bread from our own flour.
Our story
1993
The beginning in Vratsa
The sole trader firm Kirilka is registered. Its main business is milling.
1998
A contract for a mill
The firm signs a contract with Trakia Komers KDA, Haskovo, to supply and install the milling machinery.
2000
The New Mill
The mill is commissioned on 21 December. It processes 28 tonnes of grain a day.
2001
Full operation
From 1 January we mill bread wheat, produce flour and bran, store and pack, and monitor quality.
2006
The bakery
A bakery is built next to the mill, with a line making 1,000 loaves an hour. We decide to merge the two firms into one.
2007
Jitara Ltd
Kirilka and Archer – Ivaylo Angelov merge into Jitara Ltd.
2008
Salted pretzels
We start a production line for salted pretzels under the Jitara brand.
2015
A modernised mill
The mill is modernised. Today we mill types 500 and 1150, and grind wholegrain flour on a separate stone mill.
2025–2027
